Making these changes in a later patch / post-launch patch imo takes a higher priority than keeping the game as it was, to improve the longevity of the game for new and old players, especially when something like a “Legacy Mode” would still allow those players that want it to experience the original design. The fact is simply that many of D2’s designs are outdated, as they are often just unnecessarily inconvenient, reduce build diversity and limit the ways players can express themself, and the game also needs to keep the new, younger players that are used to more modern design standards to be successful in the long run. I put the things that the vast majority of the community would agree on in the first three categories and some of the things that may be more controversial for some people in the last category, but I will give my reasoning for WHY the ones that could be considered controversial by some would actually be an improvement as well.
